Travelling was once just a dream.
When I was a kid, I have imagined myself looking at the magnificent Eiffel Tower or riding a cute little “boat” in Italy (I didn’t know then that that “cute little boat” was called a Gondola).
As I grew older, I and my friends joked about living in different countries and plan to meet up each other one day somewhere in the middle of the world. Or just pick a country and meet-up.
Being in a different place other than my own country was a wish. A goal I had hoped to achieve when I grow up.
My very first time to travel outside of my country was when I decided to watch MotoGP in Malaysia. Though it was for a very short period, I can say that I enjoyed it. Got the chance to see a new country, experienced different culture, used different currency and of course, my bet won the race! What else can I ask for?
Then, came the opportunity to work abroad. Though I had to start from scratch, the idea to work and live far, far away excited the adventurous soul in me. One travel led to another and as I see more of the world, my perception and attitude changed. I became more open-minded of the diversity in cultures and traditions, appreciative of Mother Nature, much more eager to work harder to see and experience more of what this world has to offer, and each experience lead to adding more places on my bucket list.
I know I haven’t covered even 5% yet but it’s a good start. I don’t want to just see the photos of all these beautiful places, I’d rather want to go there and see it myself. Experience it myself. Being there is a whole lot of experience that no book, travel blog, video or photos can ever explain.
Ok now, where to next? 🙂
This photo was taken during my trip to Italy, particularly in Tuscany. I’ll be writing more about this trip on my blog later on. Meanwhile, you may check out and follow me on instagram @xthine08 to view more of my travel photos.
And if you’re interested to see and experience Tuscany, there’s a photo tour you might be interested in. Happening this Spring 2018, check out http://www.rafigraphy.com for more info!
